Kerry's long history as a Power Ranger?

After from his service in Vietnam, here is what appears to be his acceptence speech's sum total of Kerry's intervening three and a half decades:

I ask you to judge me by my record: As a young prosecutor, I fought for victim's rights and made prosecuting violence against women a priority. When I came to the Senate, I broke with many in my own party to vote for a balanced budget, because I thought it was the right thing to do. I fought to put a 100,000 cops on the street. [people still buy that old line?]

And then I reached across the aisle to work with John McCain, to find the truth about our POW's and missing in action, and to finally make peace with Vietnam.

I should mention that my five-year-old pointed out that the Kerry speech's finale song, Dreams by Van Halen, is the same song that plays over the finale and credits of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie. So that's what Kerry's positions have been doing: morphin'.
