why bush must lose

Really, it's to save true conservatism. Any true, sane and intelligent conservativehas George W. Bush is not one of us. Oh, he talks the talk but he's more of Clinton-esqe wolf in sheep's clothing kind of conservative than a true believer. We intelligent and sane conservatives know this to be the truth.

In fact that the Bush Administration and its actions are the perfect argument for adhering to conservative principles.

I believe in the liberty of the individual, states' rights and for giving the federal gov't as little money and power over our lives as possible. In that exact order.

Presdient Bush represents none of things. He is a big spending, big government autocrat who wants to intrude on my God-given liberties. If you're a conservative and if you can't see him for the fraud that he is-- heaven help you.

I'm being brutally honest here, and any sane and intelligent conservative who vote for Bush because of the party label is doing himself and his party a disservice. Deep in our hearts We intelligent and sane conservatives haven't liked the direction the party's been going, and getting Bush out of office is the only way to bring the party back to its ideals. That and you'll have the pleasure of kicking to the curb one of the most incompetent Republican administrations since Hoover.

I don't think it's a crime for a Republican to say one of our own sucks. Incompetent Republican politicians give the good ones a bad name. And the fact that he holds the highest office in the land just compounds the problem. I'm much rather get rid of the bad Republican and find a good one.

Nope. No sale.

This Republican does not think Bush sucks. I disagree with much of what he does (spending, McCain-Feingold, borders), but the choice is stark here. Kerry's history is one of extreme liberalism. Four to eight years of Kerry being allowed to further entrench liberalism in the judiciary, the State department, the CIA, etc., are very compelling reasons to hold the line and vote for Bush.

I would hope that the GOP Congress will be more inclined to stand-up to Bush's spending and immigration policies since they do not have to support his re-election anymore.

But no sane and (or?) intelligent conservative can seriously think Kerry is a sane alternative. And he is the only other realistic alternative. If it's not Bush, it will be Kerry.

Unless you were being sarcastic. The nevermind.

Monkeystein, my brother, you can't be serious! Delivering the country to Jean Claude Kerry, and that indescribable creature he's married to? I admit, I have my problems with George too, but, Geez Louise, talk about throwing the baby out with the bath water. Will terror move back to a nuisance? Are you ready for Al Sharpton in the Cabinet? And think of the gloating from the Fat Boy! No, it could not be borne. Maybe I could move into the place in France where Alec Baldwin and Robert Altman have been living.
Don't even joke like that.

I don't know what's funnier: the mangled prose, or the fact that Monkeystein considers himself a "sane...conservative."

If being a "true conservative" means I totally ignore the thousands of people arming to kill us overseas, like in the 1930s, it can count me out.

I agree, Bush is NO conservative. He, along with many in the national GOP, have used the 'conservative' label to promote a radical agenda that has little, or nothing, to do with real constitutional conservatism. Bush and his ilk would do much damage to the constitution with an endless stream of frivolous ammendments. I may not like Kerry, but he can't possibly be worse than Bush when it comes to upholding the individual rights embodied in the constitution.
