InstaMonkey: Splenda in the Grass

Mitch discovers the New Diet Coke. Welcome aboard, Mitch.

In other Splenda news, we made Kool-Aid using the boxed Splenda instead of sugar this weekend, and it worked perfectly. The little Monkeys didn't even notice, and I quite enjoyed it myself. I've gone about a month since having ANY NutraSweet-flavored products, and it's been great.

At press time: Mrs. Monkey just brought home a bottle of the new 7-Up, sweetened with you-know-what. Monkey Brad had just got through telling me that it was coming out, and she ran across it at the store today. Delicious. The Missus is excited because this probably means Dr. Pepper with Splenda is just around the corner.

We here in the Rocky Mtn. West are a bit slow in receiving new products. We just received the new Coke with Splenda. Good stuff!
Look forward to 7-UP.....

And this means that a in a few years from now we'll be reading about a study that shows it causes some new and wonderful disease that has a slow and painfull death...at least that's the way it usually works... 8O)

To that I say, "Bring it on!"

Ironically, I will then die a fit man, having lived a more active life.

While the "Super-Size Me" guy's body might shut down after 30 days of Splenda, since he's married to a vegan chef, my body seems to be buying the idea that it's actually made from sugar. My friend warns that her homeopathic nnaturalist has coniptions over Splenda, warningthat it turns to chlorine inside you. Dude... I grew up a competitive swimmer. Even having been out of the pool for a few months, I probably have measurable chlorine levels in my blood that ought to prohibit me from driving. I look at it as an effective antibiotic and preservative.

Bring. It. ON! (Admission: as I write, I'm trying to get fired up for a bike race this afternoon; I'm all hopped up on electrolytes)
