To the Mac OS X Tiger users

What widgets are you using? (Geek points for even knowing what I'm talking about.)

I almost never use Dashboard at all. I actually bought Konfabulator back before Tiger came out, and fiddled with its widgets. I prefer the "Widgets in the foreground" method that Konfabulator uses over the (standard) Dashboard "Widgets on their own special layer" metaphor. But eventually I stopped using both of them, because they weren't actually helping me do anything.

Right now, my Dashboard contains an A9 Search widget, a Google Maps widget, a Simpsons "quote of the day" widget, and a widget that spews out selections from Brian Eno's Oblique Strategies. I accidentally hit F12 about once every 4-6 weeks, and I pretty much never do it on purpose.

basics mostly--calc, post-its, clock, calandar, weather--tried adding blogger post but that's a broken beta. I'm with Monkey, dashboard is good only occasionally; although being a pc-to-mac convert I was initially impressed, really its liquid animatio n is its best feature.

why wouuld I go into dashboard to google or check the dictionary online when that only ads a step? Now, if I could direct-post a blog, that would be different.
