It now appears almost certain that Al Gore is going to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize Friday. Via The National Review (via Drudge):

Here's a note Boxer sent supporters about the change:

I just got a call from Vice President Al Gore. He told me that he needs to travel abroad tomorrow for an exciting and urgent mission that could result in a major breakthrough in the fight against global warming.

So Gore will take his place among the Nobel Peace Prize fraud Hall of Fame:

1965 UNICEF (corrupt organization)

1973 Henry Kissinger (the Vietnam "peace accord" ushered in Commie chaos and death)

1977 Amnesty International (moral midgets)

1981 United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (... about those Palestinians still living in squalor ... )

1990 Mikhail Gorbachev (should have gone to Reagan, of course)

1992 Rigoberta Menchú (known liar, fraud and excuser of atrocities for the Commies)

1994 Yasser Arafat (terrorist and hoarder of international aid intended for his people)
